On February 28th, 2019, the Wallace Pierce Law team served homemade pizzas to families at the Ronald McDonald House of Durham and Wake, NC. This winter, the massive influx of children battling Respiratory Syncytial Virus infection (RSV) and other winter viruses means that the house is full of families in need. Wallace Pierce Law brought dinner to families, making a direct connection with the community one slice of pizza at a time.
Each month, the North Carolina-based personal injury firm Wallace Pierce Law selects a charity or initiative that it believes in. It chose the Ronald McDonald House because some staff members have spouses who work in the medical field and encounter sick children on a daily basis. Many of these children are left unaccompanied by their parents while receiving treatment, either because the parents have difficulty making child care arrangements for their other children or they live a great distance away from the hospital. The Ronald McDonald House keeps families together. It provides a place for families to call home so they can stay close to their hospitalized child at little-to-no cost.
Wallace Pierce Law wants to help alleviate the anxieties of families going through a difficult time by providing delicious pizza with a hands-on personal touch. Its goal is to show that it’s more than just a legal presence – Wallace Pierce Law is committed to being a trusted member of the community.
